It has been a very long time since we have made a post on our blog. It really isn't our fault. This is a travel blog, and due to family responsibilities and other conflicts and issues, we have been unable to travel anywhere for much too long. We have plans to change that situation in 2014, so our minds are spinning about possible adventures during this calendar year.
So, if you get your vicarious travel experiences through us, just hang in there a little bit longer. We definitely have plans!
Our first adventure will be a return trip to Israel. (There is so much in the Bible lands to learn!!) We are going with a tour group led by our son, Barry, who has made study-trips to that area in the past and is now leading a tour group himself. He has always loved geography in general, and he knows more about Biblical geography than we ever will, so we are going to go and learn from him. The tour leaves June 3 and we return June 14, which will give us plenty of time to visit wonderful sites like Jerusalem, Caesarea, Megiddo, Jericho, Mount Carmel, Capernaeum, Jezreel Valley, Masada, the Sea of Galilee and much more.
There are still spots available on this tour, but time is getting short to register. If you have ever thought about taking a tour with Christians to visit the lands of the Bible, this is a wonderful opportunity. Like we said, the fuse is short. Decisions must be finalized by February 23. We would love to have others join our group, and at this point, spaces are still available.
Currently, we are not ready to discuss trip plans any farther in the future than our trip to Israel, but we definitely plan to take additional trips this year, probably in the late summer and early fall. There are so many marvelous places in the world to visit that the options are endless. So much to see…so little time. First we dream…then we plan, and we are definitely dreaming!
