We are back in Alabama. It was a fairly uneventful day, except for the fact that (even with clear blue skies from the Mississippi River throughout the entire eastern half of the country), our flight in Albany was thirty minutes late arriving! Of course this forced a later-than-thirty-minutes departure, and a later-than-expected arrival in Atlanta. From the time our plane landed in Atlanta until we fell breathless in our seats on the plane to Huntsville, only twenty minutes had passed, and we had to change terminals and run to the farthest gate at the end of the second terminal. We had our workout for the day by sprinting through the Atlanta airport.
So, we arrived in Huntsville at the originally-scheduled time. Our suitcases, of course, did not make the rapid plane-change in Atlanta. They are scheduled to arrive...sometime. Not to worry. They are full of dirty clothes, anyway. Isn't that the way vacations end...piles of clothes to be washed?
Small price to pay for such a great time.
The next "journey"? January, we think...so stay tuned.
